The Cub Scout uniform is an important part of delivering the complete Scouting experience to your child. Wearing uniforms has been a method of the Scouting movement from the beginning.
There are two types of uniform used in Cub Scouts, the Field Uniform and the Activity Uniform. These uniforms are often called Class A and Class B uniforms.
Cub Scouts also have an age-appropriate handbook to guide them on their Scouting adventures. These books include the requirements for advancement awards and information to help you complete adventures at home with your family.
The Activity Uniform (aka "Class B") for Pack 124 is tie-dyed t-shirt with our pack information on it. The first shirt is provided at no additional charge and additional shirts are available for purchase.
The Field Uniform (aka "Class A") consists of several parts and Scouts are encouraged to wear the full uniform including pants/shorts/skorts and socks. Families may decide to purchase only the shirt, belt, and neckerchief, which is acceptable in Pack 124. Uniforms will typically last for several years, so make sure you purchase a size your child can grow into. Images of uniform parts are shown below for each grade level.
Please review the insignia guide for patches that will need to be added to the uniform.
Uniforms and handbooks can be purchased at our local Scout Shop called Crossroads Outfitters at the Golden-Burke Scout Center. Additional information and an online order form can be submitted through this website and by clicking the Crossroads Outfitters image below. We recommend having your Scout try on a uniform before having any patches sewn onto it.
