Cub Scouts and the BSA have always been a uniformed body. Its uniforms help create a sense of belonging. They symbolize character development, leadership, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Wearing a uniform gives youth hand adult members a sense of identification and commitment. The information on this page illustrates proper placement of patches on the Cub Scout uniform.

Council Strip
Identify as a member of Crossroads of America Council.
Unit Numbers
Identify as a member of Pack 124 with veteran bar showing pack is over 60 years old. Patch is sold through our pack for $4.50.
World Scout Crest
Represents membership in the worldwide Scouting Movement.
1910 Crest Ring
Optional patch to celebrate the 100+ year history of BSA, and is designed to be worn around the World Scout Crest.
The following patches represent badges that are earned or received for different events.
Outdoor Activity Award
Can be earned in every Cub Scout year by completing a set of outdoor requirements.
Temporary Patch
Patch that can be changed regularly to show a recent outing or other accomplishment.
Recruiter Strip
Earned by any Cub Scout who recruits a friend to join.
Rank Badges
Badges earned for different Cub Scout ranks.
Webelos Colors
Worn by Webelos on the right sleeve to show earned adventures.
Webelos Badge
Earned by 4th and 5th Graders.
Arrow of Light Badge
Earned by 5th Graders as the highest rank of Cub Scouts.
